Patricia Morgan is an author who specializes in strengthening resilience in individuals and organizations. Presenting to thousands of people each year, she is an international speaker with a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology. Speaker Profile: Conrad Prince, Project Manager, HR Council for the Nonprofit Sector
Conrad has extensive experience working as manager and director in the health research field. He holds a master’s degree in sociology from Carleton University, where his focus of study concentrated on trans-racial adoptions. Conrad is the co-chair of a national committee dedicated to examining children’s aid issues within vulnerable populations and was also one of the founding members of Connecting with All My Relations; a nonprofit organization that assisted trans-racial adoptees repatriate with their families and communities of origin. Conrad comes to the HR Council with a diverse skill set, ranging from project management, research, financial management, to policy analysis. He has previous work experience as a manager within the Sector Council model, having led a pan-Canadian initiative to develop a national labour force strategy for the Electricity Sector Council. Leisurely, Conrad enjoys playing sports such as hockey, basketball and golf. He is also an avid computer gamer when his time permits.
Speaker Profile: Zoe Fleming, CVA. Manager of Volunteer Centre Relations, Volunteer Canada
Zoe Fleming, CVA, is the Manager of Volunteer Centre Relations at Volunteer Canada. Her 18 years experience working with non-profit organizations, in both urban and rural communities, has given her an appreciation for how volunteer engagement standards of practices can be adapted to the realities, in a wide range of settings. Her current role at Volunteer Canada involves working with diverse communities while learning about the various roles, strengths and challenges of each volunteer centres. Zoe works and volunteers with individuals and organizations from a local to an international scale to examine how we can build stronger communities by strengthening our citizen engagement. She believes that every individual has the right and responsibility to contribute to their community and until everyone finds their connection to contribute, we all hold the responsibility in supporting them to get there.
